Maurice Sendak, one of the world's greatest children's authors, passed away today. It truly is the end of an era for children's literature. Maurice was a pioneer in children's illustrations and writing.

One of my favorites is one hardly anybody knows anymore, one my Grandma used to read to me and that I now have, The Giant Story.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Where the Wild Things Are. I married a now very "serious" businessman who once was a Max. My little son is a "Max." I love that story with all my heart!
